Scarecrow

This classic Halloween addition is sure to be a neighborhood favorite. Take a look around your house for old clothes that have been sitting untouched in your closet for years and use those to create your scarecrow with. After you've picked out your scarecrow's outfit, get some fresh air and rake up a pile of leaves in your yard. You can use these leaves to stuff the clothes, a pumpkin for the face and just like that you will bring your scarecrow to life. You can place you scarecrow leaning up against a tree or have him sitting in a chair on your front porch.

Painted Pumpkins

Pumpkins are one of the most iconic items of fall. An an extra element to them by decorating and painting them in any way you wish. Bling them out with rhinestones, glitter and lace or write on them to spell something out like "Boo" or Trick or Treat". Decorating pumpkins make for a perfect afternoon craft. Display your pumpkins around your house or as a center piece on your dining room table.

Flying Bats and Ghosts

This simple Halloween art project is super easy and fun for the entire family. Take a walk in your neighborhood and collect fallen leaves. Paint these leaves white and draw little ghost faces on them with marker. You can then tape them to the walls or mirrors or hang them around the house with string. You can also make flying bats by cutting egg cartons and painting them black. Cut the carton into sections of three eggs and make the edges jagged for bat wings. Paint eyes or glue googly eyes on the middle egg section. Hanging these bats from chandeliers or light fixtures makes it look like they're flying around your Halloween themed home.

Halloween Mailbox

Show your Halloween spirit to everyone who walks by your home when you decorate the area around your mailbox. Consider planting some fall flowers and place pumpkins and gords around the base. You can also use corn stalks and tree branches to decorate you mailbox post. If you want your autumn scene to stand out at night you could add a string of white lights to make everything glow.
